Forums - Sony - PS4 will not support CD's.

I guess its no big loss...and I can see the PS4 emulate the PSX in his lifetime

Oh well gotta move on forward no big deal for me.

Will it still play vinyl?

I don't think I ever thought of using my PS2 or PS3 as a CD player. Even on the rare occasion where I buy a CD, I rip it immediately and lose all memory of where I put the CD.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

I sure hope so. Games look better when they play off vinyl.

I'm surprised the PS4 doesn't play VHS.

CPU: Ryzen 9950X3D
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5 PRO

I'll go on a rampage if it doesn't support cassettes, I recorded some back in the day and a few even were from Sony - shame on them if they just drop support for what they sold me

Can't say I used it often, but it was convenient using my PS3 for CD's, disappointing loss.

yeah of course it can but that wasn't my point. I didn't stated it can't emulate PSX from an technical standpoint. I meant it's depending on the decisions from Sony to incorporate this feature into the PS4 ;)
