I'm sur gen 1 will win the poll. But personally I think gen 2 is the best when it comes to the games. It's the gen that brought just enough new elements in the game that were all great. Night and Day cycle, pokémon happiness, Dark and Steel type, pokémon can now hold items such as berries. + the new pokémons were rly cool (almost as cooll as gen1).

But to be honest, I only played the 3 first gens, so I can't compare with the 4th and 5th. Planning on buying gen6 tho.

Yeah, I like Pokémon Gen 2 & 3 & 5 the most.

Especially Gen 3 & 5.

But Gen 2 did do the most in improving the franchise.

The 4th Gen had a great big vast region with interesting new kinds of Pokémon like Castform, but the never got into detail about anything. It played as weak as the 4th Gen. Ey were really lacking in material with what they had......very lazy work.

The 5th Gen was like the 4th Gen gone good. It fixed everything up, and gave us a good Polygon Graphic world, but the 512 MB memory was limiting, but it still played long, with plenty enough environment for a Region. 5th Gen part 2 is cell-shaded graphics to fit the extra everything in.

I hope the 6th Gen gives us the biggest environment ever, and actual reasons for each part of the environment with much more greater stories and plot twists and backgrounds to characters & storylines. I also want a realer region with true meaning to certain parts of region and true meaning to characters, well truer.

I have a feeling everyone is going to pick Generation 1 or 2....personally, I think if you take out nostalgia, an argument could be made for each generation being best. I mean, who doesn't want a robot ghost from season five? And what's up with a half dozen eggs being considered a pokemon in season one? And don't even start with me on Mr. mime.....
