...and how is the Wii U gamepad similar to PSV's memory card system?

Am I missing a joke here?

Why does everybody think the PS4 will cost $400? 8 GB of high quality RAM isn't going to come cheap. Neither will the likely tens or hundreds of Gigabytes of internal memory. And unlike in 2006, Sony doesn't have cash to burn selling a system at a loss.

Sony Flexible on PlayStation 4 Cost

I think they're waiting on MS to announce their price first, and then match it. They dont want to announce the price and then get undercut, but they also dont want to price it cheaper than they have to.

MS next Xbox will probably be $400 with some sort of Arcade SKU that is $300... I think PS4 will be $400 and $500 Sku's.

@JoeTheBro ....some of them could happen. Dont forget, this is the same company that missed XMas in North America with the VITA. The same company that allowed so many delays on GT5.

Yeah but I'm not expecting another earthquake in Japan this year. Also delays of GT5 only show it's coming in 5 years, not on PS3.

PSV's memory cards are expensive and Nintendos Wii U gamepad is also expensive and both consoles are sold at a loss. So, The only way to get the money back is on game sales or accessory sales like controllers, memory cards.......etc

Go back to Galaki's post and you'll get the joke.

The major difference is that you can't buy new game pads for the Wii U. Or at least not yet. And when you can, you can still only buy a single one.

Nintendo does not get any morey back from using the game pad. Chances are the console would have been sold at profit if it wasn't included in the price. If the gamepad wasn't mandatory and was found in stores, then it would make sense to say the controller is there to decrease losses. As it is now, it only creates losses.

So what? Theres a lot of accessorys for the WiiU and Nintendo gets a LOT of money from it, that's what i meant. I didn't start this discussion, galaki did, i was just laughing at his post.

Why are you trying to argue with me. Is it wrong for a company to make money?

He was acting like Sony is the only one who gets money off of accessorys.

I really can't think of a single Wii U accessory that supposedly decreases losses apart from the Pro controller. But that's something different.

Only allowing specifically Vita designed memory cards with a higher price was Sony's way of dealing with losses. Nintendo could have done the same thing with the 3DS, but they didn't. They chose to give the users the option to use any SD card with the right size. Nintendo gained nothing from that decision. (Except some happy consumers.) Sony basically showed their desperation there.

No, there is nothing wrong with companies dealing with losses or making money the way they choose. This whole thing was started by you making an invalid parable which I see you have taken back now.

I only have one word to say, PIRACY! you wanna know why i only said one word, That's because i'm sleepy and half drunk. I'll comeback tommorrow and pick up where i left off.

None of those scenarios will happen.

1. PS4 will definetly release in NA in 2013, not sure about EU

2. PS4 will not cost 599, they've learned their lessons

3. online play is likely to stay free, however it will be like a Spotify subscription, almost everything and everything quality will be behind a sub.

4. GT6 will not release this year, maybe GT6 Prologue.
