Have you guys seen the Vita/Vita 2000 comparison video yet?  If you don't have a Vita yet and want one, I'd recommend picking up the original before it sells out.

The black levels on the slim version are poor making the colors look lighter and brighter.  You can see how much shadow is gone in the Uncharted comparison because of the black levels being removed, so think of what it would look like in a game that heavily utitlized darkness as a gameplay element.  I've only played the demo of Silent Hill Book of Memories but areas were mostly dark with your flashlight as a main light source.  You probably don't even need the flashlight now that the new slim version has such poor black levels.

Yea, I decided to get a second one to replace my current white model when it wears down. While the new model is good in the sense that it is more accessible (financially), I prefer the original. I'm going to get one later before it is phased out.
