The Last Of Us Remastered Discount for PS3 Players Possible, Grounded Mode Included; No Co-op Coming, Ever
Today Naughty Dog detailed the Grounded Bundle DLC for The Last of Us, and Community Strategist Eric Monacelli also answered a few relevant questions about The Last Of Us: Remastered for PS4 in the comments sections of both the North American and European PlayStation Blogs.
Monacelli Mentioned on the European Blog that a business model to offer a discount to PS3 owners on the PS4 version is being considered, much to the joy of those that asked for it:
We’re looking into the business model for all this and will post about this once we have input from all regions.
Moving on to the North American blog, he also specified that Grounded Mode difficulty will indeed be part of the package on PS4.
It’ll be included. Grounded Mode difficulty is part of the PS4 version.
Quite a few were holding hope that the PS4 release of the game would bring new DLCs, and in particular one dedicated to a co-op mode, but Monacelli put an end to such hopes.
We’ve said a few times now that co-op won’t be coming. Factions mode isn’t about that.
Finally, we also learn something more about a possible “double part” weekend and about the number of triophies included with the new mode.
Double Parts weekend sounds like a good idea. We’ll see if we can get one going at some point soon.
As for the number of trophies, we’ll be talking about them soon. It’s not a ton but it’s just enough to be challenging that’s for sure!
Honestly, I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one that would have loved a co-op mode, but looks like it wasn’t to be. Maybe we’ll get one for The Last of Us 2… You know you want to, Naughty Dog.
