Layoffs just before relocating to a much, much bigger development studio. I wouldn't worry at all.


Not only that but they were in the process of increasing staff by 5% as well as asking for interns. I'm guessing they were getting rid of deadweight.

also, just checked Cory Barlogs twitter, he doesnt list that he works at SSM, not sure if he did before though. i really hope his game didnt get cancelled.

I think it'd be bigger news if his game got cancelled.  

What happened to your feeling of SSM being a 5+ game studio?  

well i obviously didnt know about the layoffs, i really hope his game didnt get cancelled and it was an indie game that got cancelled, IF any game got cancelled in the first place. 

when is E3 this year? i cant fucking wait for it.

^^ not even close to brilliant, and they're yet to announce it for EU if my info is up to date. But it's good that they have heard the gamers voice (or more probably the preorder numbers were terrible)

Anyway, the really bad news today is that I missed a treasure in Uncharted 2 and now at best I'm aiming for 99, and I'll have to replay the cat & mouse level after I finish the game :-/ thankfully it's a darn good chapter.



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

There's like at least 25 Sony teams according to me, and a few of them have a lot wiggle room and so it's super easy to see how Sony would have 30 PS4 games in development.  


It's good to have a lot of teams and studios but it's better to have a lot of games.

I think I'll make a thread about the promise from Yoshida, about what? 15 games from 1st party developers this year? Anyway I try, stretching and spinning, the numbers just don't add up.

This year looks worse than PS3s 2007 in terms of exclusives and that was a console with "no games" until 2008 and MGS IV.



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
