Both Next Gen systems don't support MP3s apparently which is truly a travesty. Some kind of war on the free music market? No matter what they restrict, I won't be using Music Unlimited because its entire premise is sort of stupid. So instead of giving me the songs outright you just allow me ACCESS to them for a year? I have to be connected to the internet in order to even use them unless I add them into my offline que which is severely limited? And this is suppose to be better than the no more than $20 I spend on CDs every 2 years? WHAT?! Does this "service" make sense for anyone here?

Seeing as I am always connected on my phone, PC and my PS4 when it comes sure it makes sense to use the service BUT I also understand other's who are not as fortunate as me or don't have good network infrastructure in their country or that they simply want to use CDs instead than a service.
So sure for me it makes sense to use the Music service, the video service is a different issue because it's not even available in Sweden coupled with no video support this is going to be a hell for my Media at home the first months until the update arrives

Since when is there no video support too?! Thats gotta be some BS.
My PS3 harddrive is packed with my favorite TV shows, Movies, Music and Games. When I'm having a party I can just load up a quick movie or if there is something I don't already have, pull up Netflix. If I want music? cycle through my selection and if I want something else, I DL it and put it up there or just go to Youtube.
And back to Music Unlimited. How is it suppose to be beneficial for Vita? I have over 1000 mp3s on mine. If I was using MU I would first off need to have the horrendous AT&T 3G plan for it to even opperate and could only have like 20song DL onto card if I try to conserve my usage. At best Music Unlimited could be a nice party jukebox player or something, maybe if they fused it with singstar and allowed me to do karaoke and music videos through it. Still not worth $50 a year tho.

Jupp apparently that's how Sony was thinking of going before they saw the shitstorm happening since that FAQ got released. Believe me I know how you feel about Video support I am in the same position on that.
Then again about Music Unlimited it's probably my favorite service(knocked out Spotify from my house) - my Z1(Swedish mobile networking is a lot more superiour than the US market's), pc and my PS4 is going to have it so it will make sense for me to have it. But as I said I understand how someone who don't have a network plan that is good or just wants to use a CD is going to get angry about this - hence why I am angry at the Video support discussion.
The funny thing is, americans have a ton load of different and superiour services than us Europeans but you guys have inferiour network infrastructure.
So no one is getting the benefits of both because on one side the infrastructure is the problem and on the other side you can't even use those services - making everything about online things completely obsolete
