Square Enix recently demonstrated the PS Vita version of the high definition remastered PS2 title but news of the PS3 version has been kept under wraps.

With Tomb Raider out next month and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII releasing in the Fall, a Summer release for FFX HD sounds about right to us. Additionally, Aibo suggested that Square Enix, may be spiffing up Final Fantasy X-2 in a similar fashion as well.

While we have to chalk this information up as a rumor until proven otherwise, let’s not forget that the existence of LittleBIGPlanet Karting and Sleeping Dogs were previously leaked to the public during last year’s Destination PlayStation.

Sony’s Destination PlayStation is currently underway in Arizona but for those of us who weren’t invited to the annual retailers event, we have to wait for official announcements to be shared or leaked as it seems to be the case with this latest report.

According to Aibo of the fan site Final Fantasy Reunion, new screenshots of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy X HD (PS3) have been revealed at the event.  Aibo tweeted that FFXHD is on par with Final Fantasy XIII, graphically, while also claiming that the game is scheduled to arrive in June.

I highly doubt that.

However, the optimist in me wants to believe that this could be possible because of Destination PlayStation.

To be honest, what we saw last week makes me believe neither of those will be true.

I hope so, though.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

If so, my two most anticipated games this year are from 2001 and 2002. That's fucked!

Yeah, you definitely win there. Or lose, I guess.

This is SE, so no. More likely the graphics are on par with FFIX.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

Well I won buyer's remorse but I probably shouldn't be bragging about it.
