is not a game easy to get into, you have to be a turn based combat rpg fan, the game barely has a story or storytelling, its all about gameplay.

The main "problem" for newcomers into any Etrian Odissey game is the high difficulty and very steep learning curve that any game requires. Finding that specific character set and getting the right skills takes a lot of trial and error, and the game punishes you for almost every mistake. It's frequent for newbies to die a lot on the first floor of any labyrinth and be demotivated to go any further.
For those that perservere, it becomes an amazing and unique experience though
. EO was my favourite DS series, and i've got really high hopes for EO IV.
