Horrible features aside, does Nintendo really think that something that has the build quality of a toy out of the 1980's would be appealing to the consumer?

Useless and extremly ugly ...

Release a new model of Wii called Wii Mini when Wii U sells very bad in Europe especially
And people still don't understand that Wii and Wii U are different.

People who will be interested in this will not know and/or care it's gimped. As long as it lets them play Just Dance and Wii Sports, they'll be happy. So in that sense, no problem.

Well people seem to be fine with iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Mini, iPod Touch, iPod Nano, iPod Classic and a ton more...

And don't even get me started on Samsung's Galaxy line of phones... Oh dear. In that sense, Nintendo's fine. They just need distinctive games to set WiiU apart.
