I read enough. I told you the same thing happens to me with the PSP on PSN and i advised how to solve the situation. Stop blaming Nintendo for something that isnt within their power to influence.

Actually from this same post you are confirming that the problem is in your network. There is obviously a reception issue and you should reset the network to allow it to re-adjust. It might aswell and most probably be a firewall and definition issue. You should look into informing yourself over how your Wii U works with the Wi-fi.

Believe me when i say this: It can only be your network. The fact that your PC works fine just confirms that fact even more. Hardware does not factor in this. Its all going on in your modem.

How about if everything else on WiiU works fine? How could my network only fuck up downloads of content but allow netflix in HD to work flawlessly as well as general browser use ON THE WII U?

I doubt that's the case but you wouldn't happen to be running a 802.11n Wireless-N on Comcast ?

I had that issue a while back and there is a problem there that is however very easy to fix...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

I tried to download the pinball demo today to see if i got better speed then yesterday but no, probably worse the yesterday.

a 356mb file took 45 min on a 1000mb/s connection, on a bad day this should take 20sec assuming the Wii u cant handle all the 1000mb/s and only manages 100mb/s it should still max take 2 min.

Cant believe this is slower then the Wii, what the frack were they thinking.

do tell....

I am not using comcast's router, i bought my own and its literally only downloading content from nintendo that has any issues.

Did you download a demo or something? If not then why don't you just go to the store and buy the game. Unless you live on a deserted island or something I really don't see the advantage of downloading.

Conveniently, only seems to happen to you. Sorry, i dont believe that it isnt your Wi-fi. It clearly is.

Considering its  known issue to be slow downloading updates and such and a ton of people on miiverse had the same issue... its not just me. Read my post above yours on my wifi again.

The wi-fi connection is to you modem. If the problem was with nintendo you would have the same problem on common LAN connection.

I will say this once more: Its your wi-fi network, not nintendo.

O_O

You didn't read any of my posts did you?

PC with provable worse connection to my router than WiiU has 17Mbps downloads. (so that shows its not general wifi issue)
WiiU with browser, netflix, and other internet services work better than PC mentioned in sentence directly above this. (again, shows that wifi connection is fine)

WiiU when downloading updates, patches, games, and other content via their actual servers is slow as shit.

Its really has to be a hardware issue (unlikely as others don't have same issue) or Nintendo's servers for my area/region or lack thereof.

Cut the crap, I have my WiiU connected via LAN cable and I have exactly the same issues. Downloading on PC and 360 is fine.

Don't support digital download at these terms. Prices are outragous too. You should be saving at least 50% on retail games.

Don't have to store discs in my house.

Don't have to worry about discs getting damaged or lost by my kids filthy little hands.

Don't have to get off my ass to change discs to play something different.

Load times and such are non-existent if done correctly.

There's your advantages.

$60 game I got for $36. Only $2 more than ebay used game and I gain the advantages I laid out for another poster above.

However, if download times are not fixed with the next update(s), yes no more digital for me. At least not large games more than a GB or two.

Well, Nintendo is trying to go in the right direction but Physical copies are still outselling digital ones. I don't think Nintendo is trying to impress us technology wise. I think they're still up to their successful tactics: impress us game wise. I don't know how many times I have to say this but anybody can make an Xbox360 and a PS3. Not everybody can make a Wii. That takes creativity and imagination. Please don't give me any hate mail:D

1. Yeah I suppose, but you can get a very cheap media storage tower for about $50 (or less) that can hold several hundred games if not more.

2. You don't have to worry about the discs, but what about that expensive console, or that Wii U pad controller that can't be replaced? How are you protecting them? Could always get a locked cabinet or put them in a locked drawer.

3. Oh come on. This day and age we could all use the exercise.

4. I am not sure how it works on the Wii U, but on the Xbox you can install discs and have the same effect.

To each his own, but I just don't see the advantage of digital download. Also there is the issue that you can never trade those games ever, and you are one HDD crash from losing your entire game collection since (correct me if I am wrong) Nintendo does not let you redownload your games on another Wii U system.
