The Last Guardian got hyped and now you got word about there really not being any news for it. There is no clue as to what platform it would even be on. Yet, out came the hype for it.
Worse than this is Rockstar's Agent. Anyone remember this title? It was supposed to be a Playstation 3 exclusive. Any I have not seen word of it since. Yet, that also had hype, complete with people putting a game with a summary and only a logo, ending up in people putting the game's logo in their signature to hype it.
And, of course, there is Final Fantasy Vs 13, which who knows what about that? It did have a bit more info than Agent though.
Come on, what gives here? What is going on with the games, and how in the heck do you get hyped about something that is nothing but a premise and a logo, or MAYBE has a teaser trailer and a brief description at E3? Why do you do this?
If people think I am just going to target Sony here, I will give you another name to say not:
Peter Molyneaux.
I think the case with Peter though, the hype is usually contained to himself, by himself, with some accidental splash damage about. Of course the splash damage ends up on here.
Just curious about the hype. Games do get cancelled and so on, like Warcraft Adventures and Ghost, and delayed forever like the next Half-Life game. But where are these games, and why you hype? And there is tons of fan fiction to fill in the missing spaces.
