My most anticipated game of the year. Glad it doesn't suck.

I hope for Squeenix it will sell well :)

$quare-€nix must have oiled the review machine real good - TR used to be all about exploration, puzzles and Lara being bad ass (yes, even from her teenage days), and occasional combat.

Now they devolved TR into this mess of psycho Lara who is at one moment shaken and scared, and in the next violent, gory killer with expertise of MI6 operative - I'm guessing this is what Crystal Dynamics thought would make for believable "character progression and growth" to make TR "relevant" in modern age.

If that's the best they can do, it was much better to leave her to rest in peace. And I'm saying this as 16+ year long TR fan.

Exactly my thoughts. I never liked the combat against humans in TR games, and now they have put all the focus on that. Exploring a dark cave or underground tomb, trying to find a route through the scenery while at every moment a pack of hyenas or a startled bear can jump out is what it was all about for me. No underwater exploration is a crime too.

I never liked getting in the water in TR before, have a thing about it in my games. So she can't swim in this one, don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing

Looks sweet though. Yaaaay, Lara.

I am still disappointed that the franchise got an online Multiplayer mode. I mean, everyone is acting like MP is adding hundreds of hours to a game. But how can it do that when I do not enjoy it? In reality it adds nothing, absolutely nothing to my gaming experience. On the contrary, if I try to get the Platinum trophy it is ultimately a penalty... a mindless grind to the top.

The funny thing is that most games that added multiplayer modes did not really benefit from it saleswise. There are a few games like GTA, COD, etc who eat up most of the online players. The rest of the games are often facing problems since 3 months after the release you will have problems finding someone to play anyways.

Well, usually I end up head over heels in love with a game like Enslaved, Hunted: The Demon's Forge, or Asura's Wrath and the rest of the world hates it.  I've set my sights on Tomb Raider so I'm just glad the game is good.  Some games I think are good and everybody else hates it.  In this case, if the average person likes it then I'm going to LOVE it!
