$quare-€nix must have oiled the review machine real good - TR used to be all about exploration, puzzles and Lara being bad ass (yes, even from her teenage days), and occasional combat.

Now they devolved TR into this mess of psycho Lara who is at one moment shaken and scared, and in the next violent, gory killer with expertise of MI6 operative - I'm guessing this is what Crystal Dynamics thought would make for believable "character progression and growth" to make TR "relevant" in modern age.

If that's the best they can do, it was much better to leave her to rest in peace. And I'm saying this as 16+ year long TR fan.

Exactly my thoughts. I never liked the combat against humans in TR games, and now they have put all the focus on that. Exploring a dark cave or underground tomb, trying to find a route through the scenery while at every moment a pack of hyenas or a startled bear can jump out is what it was all about for me. No underwater exploration is a crime too.
