It looks good, but I don't understand people who think it looks OMG better than anything on PC. Witcher 2 and Crysis 2 (haven't even played 3 yet) look better on my 7870 HD imho. They both run at 40+ fps to boot unlike this footage that is confirmed to run at 30fps by DigitalFoundry. Crysis 2s Depth of Field is leagues ahead of what I saw in Shadow Fall for example, like seriously. I cant figure out if Deep Down was real-time or not but THAT looked great, almost at a New Dawn (Nvidea tech demo) level, but with game-play.

^Well, I'll still give them the benefit of a doubt. Atleast that's all I can give them for now, until they blow it in my face. I would think they've learned their lesson from their last affair... :/

This has to be a joke, so i'll go with it.

Kinda like how PC guys brag about Crysis 3 being the PC benchmark game, yet it's also on PS360. How good can a game look if it's also playable, with no reduced quality, on "weak" hardware, right?

Deep Down looks incredible. But all we've seen was corridors and a dragon so...

All the rest is just on par with the standard dx11 pc games.

gfx war is over, that's not the selling point anymore.

Not to mention running on a 1500$ computer.

we'll see more at E3.

As a Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony fanboy ;) and high end PC user, nothing about the PS4 showing blew my mind :(

While your I-7 is decent, it's no where near the top of the I-7's, and I cant speak for your graphics card.  The basic graphics on all systems tend to improve at a similar pace and improve as hardware and software tools improve.  What the high end pc's will do for you is give you better effects at a higher resolution and a better framerate. 

The biggest problem with game systems is that the harware is locked for 6 or more years, while high end computer users tend to upgrade core hardware yearly.  By the time we get half way through the PS4 lifespan, computers will be multiple times faster.

Still, you cant deny the fact that that isnt the case in past generations. The leap here is small.

No, more like $1000 but considering everything else I use it for (internet, media, work, software development etc) I think thats a fair price.
