sounds interesting, but i'm indoubt

Unless they advertised for people with RPG backgrounds???). The Vekta level to me just tells me that the game is going to be more CoD like and "cinematic", for better or worse (weird, I still haven't played a single CoD game yet except when I rented some during the PS2 days). |
Not my thoughts, some dude at GAFs thoughts! xD

So we're making a thread over what some random guy posted on another forum? I mean, you obviously thought this idea had some merit.

Not really, I posted it because I thought it would be cool as fuck.
But I dont see it happening. The guy himself says he doesnt think so either. But speculating is fun! I even made a thread on a theory of Kratos being Jesus. Do I think SSM intended for that? LOL no but its still all in good fun :}

Interesting theory, but I don't really see it happening. It's very possible that the next Killzone could be more open and even have RPG elements. But if GG is working on a "Fantasy RPG" I take that to mean they are working on a Elder Scrolls type of world not a Mass Effect type of world. Mass Effect isn't a fantasy RPG to me it's a Sci-Fi RPG. and if GG was going to make Killzone into an RPG I think they would have called it a Sci-Fi RPG.
I'm more interested in the theory about Deep Down actually being a game set in the future, with that bit at the trailer's end of an electronic help message being sent and the sounds of helicopters in the background.

THis^ and like some have said it would just be too good to be true :P
I would really like that idea tho. KZ has always had a rich backstory that doesn't come off nearly as good in the spoken dialogue. With a more RPG like set up, it could really shine. If anyone else has noticed, but most games are adapting RPG like systems. Shooters especially, with COD shooters having lengthy leveling systems and perks. I would really like a shooter that bridges the gap a bit more. Not quite Mass Effect(a broken shooter with good-ish story) and not quite COD, yet somewher inbetween.
