Forums - Sony - Sony starts bundeling Games with Vita Memorycards!

I think that PSVita is selling badly just because of the memory cards. (Just my opinion) The handheld costs a lot itself, but add a memory card and i already didn't wanna buy it.

A lot of people are turned off because of the prices of those. So it is nice to see them trying to change it, but they should have done this from the start.

It should help some people but just do a price drop.

Unofficially it already did, by releasing AC and CoD bundles for $199. It didn't helped at all.

Get out of here Nintendotroll. When the bundle was available the sales were very good considering regular Vita sales, so stop talking nonsense.

Adding a game to the memory card is ok, but that won't really help. People don't want more value for their money, they just want to pay less money!

I got my 32 GB card for 50 Euro and have just a couple GBs left :( I want a bigger card, 128 GB would be perfect.

Whoa man, calm down. No need to get nervous! I was just saying that simple price cut won't fix it. People don't want to pay less, they want to pay what they think it's worth the asking price. As seeing as the unnoficial price cut did little in terms of Vita sales, because, really, selling more than the regular sales isn't an achievment in any way, Sony needs to understand that people need MOAR NEW GAMES, not just price cuts and bundling old games on memory cards.

I want a 64GB card.

Sony should of abandoned their stupid memory cards. No one likes those. Everyone wants SD cards. Should of just sucked it up and used those from the start.

And what? Make Hacking not just the PSVita system easier, but also that much easier to rip the PSVita software off and make it that much less resistance to do because they have an ever so easy many card reader's  to pick from to choose their reverse engineering of Game Dumping on the internet? Just like the PSP!

Look that's one of the freaking reason's why many 3rd party software companies left the PSP in the first place. the Playstation Platform does not sell Software that well vs' Microsoft and Nintendo does, So every bit of sales not being purchased because of easy to do UMd DUMPING ON THE iNTERNET ALONG WITH PLAYING ALL THOSE DUMPED GAMES ON ONE Memory stick was pretty easy that even people who did not really know how could do it.

there is no card reader for the format of the new PSVita blank memory cards for a reason! BUT WHEN IT DOES HAPPEN WILL EVERY ONE THAN COMPLAIN THERE IS NO GAMES BEING MADE FOR THE SYSTEM ANYMORE?

the ease of Hacks made Piracy all too easy on the PSP and unlike Nintendo these easy Hacking results did real damage to PSP software sales, over 75+ million unit's of the PSP sold, but software sales dove like i rock. was the games good, were they mostly poor ports that people said i really do not think its worth this price. So i will just Pirate the software anyway.

this is really a case of the Few ruining it for the many!

Bundling games with memory cards. That's new, it's usually the other way around .

Anyway, a start I guess. I think it'll lower the treshold a little indeed, let's see how it translates in sales!

Hahahaha, with Modnation Racer of all games too. Could they not have picked a game that would be more interesting to people? At least this will bump those digital sales.

3DS uses SD cards and hasn't been pirated yet, this talk about proprietary media helping against pirates isn't true. PSP used UMDs which weren't sold anywhere, still pirates managed to make the game run off the MS Duo slot. If they want, they'll find a way, as Vita still connects to PC via USB, and, therefore, can be hacked.

The real reason Sony made those proprietary memory cards(and made them necessary to save game data so everyone who has a Vita needs to buy one) was to make a profit on Vita. If the memory cards weren't priced that high, the Vita itself would be priced much higher.

Just drop the damn price Sony I guess they must want to kill off the Vita.

What's worse. Piracy, or the system not selling? Both ends aren't good. They should of eaten the cost of the custom cards and sold them cheap.  The system is really $300. You can't use the main feature of the system without them.
