Sony should of abandoned their stupid memory cards. No one likes those. Everyone wants SD cards. Should of just sucked it up and used those from the start.

And what? Make Hacking not just the PSVita system easier, but also that much easier to rip the PSVita software off and make it that much less resistance to do because they have an ever so easy many card reader's  to pick from to choose their reverse engineering of Game Dumping on the internet? Just like the PSP!

Look that's one of the freaking reason's why many 3rd party software companies left the PSP in the first place. the Playstation Platform does not sell Software that well vs' Microsoft and Nintendo does, So every bit of sales not being purchased because of easy to do UMd DUMPING ON THE iNTERNET ALONG WITH PLAYING ALL THOSE DUMPED GAMES ON ONE Memory stick was pretty easy that even people who did not really know how could do it.

there is no card reader for the format of the new PSVita blank memory cards for a reason! BUT WHEN IT DOES HAPPEN WILL EVERY ONE THAN COMPLAIN THERE IS NO GAMES BEING MADE FOR THE SYSTEM ANYMORE?

the ease of Hacks made Piracy all too easy on the PSP and unlike Nintendo these easy Hacking results did real damage to PSP software sales, over 75+ million unit's of the PSP sold, but software sales dove like i rock. was the games good, were they mostly poor ports that people said i really do not think its worth this price. So i will just Pirate the software anyway.

this is really a case of the Few ruining it for the many!

3DS uses SD cards and hasn't been pirated yet, this talk about proprietary media helping against pirates isn't true. PSP used UMDs which weren't sold anywhere, still pirates managed to make the game run off the MS Duo slot. If they want, they'll find a way, as Vita still connects to PC via USB, and, therefore, can be hacked.

The real reason Sony made those proprietary memory cards(and made them necessary to save game data so everyone who has a Vita needs to buy one) was to make a profit on Vita. If the memory cards weren't priced that high, the Vita itself would be priced much higher.
