No. I completely disagree with this statement but I see a lot of people stating it in graphics threads about PS4 vs. nextbox. If you are one of the people saying this, please explain yourself.

Developers didn't ask for the Cell. That is the difference. Look at the positive reaction from Developers with the GDDR5 and the amount. Look at the negative reaction Developers had to the Cell

Just wait until they announce PS4 comes with an SSD while Xbox will have a 7200rpm hard drive. These forums will implode with hyping SSDs after they google to find out what they are.

Seriously, imagine how bad things would have been around here if Sony actually announced mind-blowing things at this conference. They show a few good looking games and announce phantom features and everyone loses their shit.

THE CELL "made sense" because it was something new and different from the normal tech. This is just RAM, only "a lot" of it. 

I honestly don't know why some PS fans are using this as the new cell. It's kinda stupid imo.

You have to remember, PS3 onwers have been dealing with the salvaged capabilities of CELL in a very long console generation. Anything moving forward is exciting, what Sony did announce is worth the excitment in and of itself, is it not? I wish they showed more, like the full UI.

Exactly. It's exciting because they reached out to Developers and asked what they wanted/needed. The Game Creators, people who make the games we want to play got what they wanted. That effects Gamers in a big way. Charlie Sheen would call that WINNING!!!
