I have to completely disagree with those who believe the price points are too expensive. If anything they are more than reasonable considering what is under the hood. With those prices I would expect launch sales to fall between the middle of PS3 and the Wii U.

That´s a rather weird price...why not the traditional $399 and $499?

The differences haven't been disclosed. It would probably just be a bigger HDD (or SSD in the premium one), and the absence of another big HW feature (Wi-fi, Ethernet). One more thing would be the inclusion of a PS+ subscription.

There wasn't wifi in the 20 GB PS3, so they may do the same here.

No it's not. That's not an affordable price for every day people to spend on a video game console. People would rather spend that type of money on tablets, smart phones or laptops or even TV's. I don't know what gives you the idea that Sony can move a 529$ console when they've already failed to do so. If this thing costs more than 400$, Sony is going to get off to another slow start. 

you said "those" prices so i thought you were also including "$429".

 

$399 = expensive

$499 = too expensive

$599 = ridiculously overkill

No game with basic bundle? Surely they'll have something. Someting small maybe, but something.

Maybe Knack then and KZ+PS+ in the other one.

Does that, in your opinion, warrant a $100 increase?

I'm wondering if the EyeToy mk.II will be part of the premium bundle or not....... A bigger HDD, a bundled $60 game (so it might add maybe $40 to the bundle price by guestimate) and what, 3 months of ps+?

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Lens of Truth a site dedicated to comparing games?
Why are we placing any salt in a rumor from them concerning hardware prices of unreleased consoles?
Anyway, it doesn't seem too far-fetched. Still hoping for $399.99.

It's a bit expensive but expected

Sony is planning another 10-year cycle so it makes sense to start a little high. I won't buy at that price though but I'm sure a good amount of people will. Too much to get people to buy in droves though.
