Awesome. What a year for JRPGs this will be! We've already gotten Ni No Kuni and Fire Emblem. These three coming up, plus Shin Megami Tensei IV, Soul Hackers, Dark Souls II, Pandora's Tower, new Pokémon generation, Project X Zone, at least two FF games, and a lot more. Will 2013 be the year of the JRPG?

I like this post n.n

PS: Tales of Xillia.

I know there are a lot of other JRPGs coming to PS3 this year, but I don't know all of them. Although I did simply forget to mention that Persona 5 will most likely be announced this April/May. Shall we make a full list? :P

At this rate, P5 will land on the Wii U or other Nintendo console. Just look at what they've been doing latelly.

also, Eiyuu Densetsu Sen no Kiseki seems to be the only upcoming jprg worth a shot. Falcom make the best gaems

Nah, I doubt it. It could be on Wii U, as Nintendo seems to be getting along pretty well with Atlus lately. But the dev team that makes the Persona games is separate from the ones that make SMT games. Persona Team made Catherine for PS3 and 360, likely partly to familiarize themselves with HD development. Persona Team has no experience developing for Wii U, Persona 5 has likely in development for PS3 and 360 for some time now, and I doubt Atlus will suddenly order a Wii U version. But it could happen. Definitely not exclusive if that's what you were getting at.

No.

No.

I was kinda refering to the ones in the OP only. Would that make it better to you? :<

@the_dengle

Still not sold on that. I think that if they were to release P5 this gen, they would have done it already. But you get a point.

P5 is likely to stay with the fanbase, but if i had to guess, the system of choice would be the Vita.

Technically, there's 4 PS3 exclusives. Witch and Hundred Knights will most certainly release this year.

I asked my NISA contact about that since I was surprised it wasn't included in this announcement.  I'll let ya know if I find out anythin'.

It'd be a shame for the game to be lost in the next gen shuffle. Most promising of the bunch, imo, and unless they hold off on it for a while will get lost.

Little bit of a necro bump (not too old though) but I found out something about WatHK.  He said that in the keynote Mr. Niikawa said it was nearing completion so it's not dead at least.  But I don't know if we should hope for it to come out in 2013.

My fingers are crossed. Need my NISA.

I like the 3rd one from the looks of it.

I wanted to get Time and Eternity, but then I forgot what the game was called. Thank god for this thread!

NISA released english versions of the three trailers:

Disgaea D2:

Guided Fate Paradox:

Time & Eternity:
