Outside of Killzone and Knack (I believe that was called) I think all games that have been announced so far will come to the PS3 or other platforms so most people will not see the value of the new system unless you really want to play those 2 games.

I said this before but this new gen transition will take longer for devs to make. Outside of a few exclusives we are going to see A LOT of games coming to the PS360 and PS4/720 (with the Wii U in there as well). So if this is the case most gamers won't see the value of a new console, at least not yet (especially if the console cost $400+).

You forget about inFamous Second Son, Jonathon Blow's new game, Drive Club, Deep Down, a new Final Fantasy, and what Santa Monica, Naughty Dog, Polyphony Digital, and others will be annoucing at E3.

I think devs are more than ready to give up on this gen. To hard to develop for, too many hardware constraints. They are going to push this forward. 2014 will be a dry spell for PS360.

Aside of Infamous which I forgot, no other games have been announce or are not exclusive (Deep Down is timed exclusive from what I understand). Like I said outside of exclusive all games will come to pretty much all platforms. Call of Duty without a doubt will be on the PS360, the next Assassins Creed will also be, and other big tittles.

Given development cost, devs and publishers will not ignore a 70m+ install base in favor of a few millions. Business wise it doesn't make sense. That's why outside of 1st party games, all the other games will come to other platforms. Before, this wasn't such a big deal because dev cost weren't as high (so the risk was lower), right now investing $20m+ on a game for a new console is very risky.

Imo this next gen transition will be "painful" to watch for this reasons. I don't expect this to last many years, at some point devs and publishers will need to move away from previous consoles to the new ones completely. My point is that this move will take longer to happen (probably one whole year of the consoles on the market).

hell yes! Background downloading, helping a friend in a game, multitasking, etc!!! IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY I WILL PAY FOR IT!

You want to know something about the people saying "same ol' same ol'" about gameplay... they are lying through their teeth because sony announced a HW feature that will apply to EVERY game that will change gameplay for EVERY title... the share feature.

Well they do have Gaikai, they can always just have a PS4 game streaming service for PS3, it would fuck them on the PS4 sales but streaming is always a possibility.

Yup. The feeling you get when you open a brand new console is just unimaginable.

Flamed? I said sex is a far better feeling. Id say many would agree. Just a tongue-and-cheek joke. The "yo mama" joke just caught me off guard since only the kids on Live say that stuff anymore lol.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
