Forums - Nintendo - Criterion Pledges WiiU Support

Criterion says that their future Need for Speed games will ship same day as other platforms. Good to see third party support building for WiiU.

These sweet talkers are making it harder and harder for me not to rush to the store and buy NFS next month. I was originally only buying it for my girlfriend, but now I can see myself genuinely getting into it.

I find it hard to believe with EA at the helm...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Good

You know btw, there's people surprised by this and i don't get it, first OMG Watch Dogs is confirmed for Wii U :O now OMG need for speed games will come to Wii U at the same time!!! DDDD: - isn't that the point of a multiplatform title? release it on as many platforms as possible to make more money? i think it doesn't take a genius to figure out (or at least imagine) the reasons why the first Wii U miltiplats came so weird and released later (there's still a few that havn't come out), lack of time, lack of interest (by devs and consumers) because most of the people who wanted said game already owned it, small userbase like at the launch of every new console, etc... if i were a dev i wouldn't care for these first games either, because even if they were amazing and wii u was X101 times more powerful than the best PC they are still the same games that people already own and would generate low interest, i would worry about the future and a(nother) possible big userbase of 50+million people that i can make money of

-- not enough power on Wii U? -> personal experience: GTX 680 VS GT 520 (yes GT 520) Saints Row The Third does it look 100 times better on the GTX 680? yes, is it another game when it runs on the 520? no, same game, same missions, same objectives...

--You have to do something with the controller? put a map on in, touch to place a waypoint or change weapons or whatever= voila -- what i mean is, there's no reason not to release the games on Wii U at the same time and believe me, you'll keep seeing articles on websites, videos on youtube, and threads on forums on the coming months like ''OMG ''Multilpat Game'' is also coming to the Wii U D: AT THE SAME TIME!!! D: D: D:

^_^

Good, now what about the rest of EA??

If NFS has first-person perspective, tilt-controlled, on-tablet play, I'm in.

Unsurprisingly Nintendo's battle for third-party support is being fought one developer at a time.

you should.   pledges are great and all but money does all the talking.

I wish Nintendo owned Criterion, these guys are rapidly gaining my respect. Support "AND" effort at the same time, a rare 3rd party combination on a Nintendo platform.
