I would guess they are going to up the amount for the OS to 1GB with 7GB for games.

Not really, the Xbox 360 operating system is required to run using no more than 32 megabytes of memory and normally 16 megabytes. It's a tiny but powerful OS.

The fact that the PS4's RAM is equal to the basic WiiU's 8gb storage is rather amazing. And the it really fast and powerful RAM.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

You have 8gigs of ddr5 ram in your PC? You sure you aren't thinking of ddr3? You can't even purchase ddr5 for a motherboard yet. Unless u have quad sli each card using 2gb of ddr5.
