Not after they announced they were ditching the cell.
omg you guys, put your panties back on. It will play your precious ps3 games one way or another.

I would want one console to play both my PS3 and 4 games instead of having to switch between one or the other. It's a time saver.

Its not only that, Sony had a Nvidia made chip in it also and Microsoft had trouble suppling decent BC because of Nvidia with the 360, so it a mixture of the change of CPU and the change of GPU. And Gaikai will never be a 100% replacment for BC for various reasons.
I did. But it doesn't really bother me to keep my PS3 connected. It never did.

Seriously? You wont ever buy a PS4 without PS3 B/C?
No. No way 8 Jaguar cores can emulate Cell, and putting another Cell processor inside the PS4 for BC would make the price go way above $599. But it is a shame, every console should have BC IMO.

By Gaikai yea, but I agree just keep my PS3 to play PS,PS2,PS3 games and PS4 for PS4.
Not surprised. At all.
Once it became known that the CBE architecture was gone, I figured the only way PS3 games will ever be seen on the PS4 is through Gaikai server side game streaming.
