Ok seriously though, I find the lack of JP games disappointing. All we saw was the Capcom game and that didn't even look Japanese. SE trolling as usual.

Was SE trolling or giving us a glimpse of the future? I'm still battling with myself which one I think is the truth.

Capcom & Square Enix are already chasing the western audiences relentlessly so unsuprising, really.  The Japanese support, I would assume, would come in the form of those smaller developers listed in the PS4 support chart that they showed which Ethomaz reposted.  Compile Heart; Kadokawa Games; Nihon Falcom; Atlus; From Software etc.

I also notice that Konami; Tecmo Koei & Tri-Ace were on there.  So I'm sure they're coming, this was just a very USA-focused presentation.

It was nothing but a big begging session to investors by Sony and game developers "Oh we REALLLLY need this system, because it can do so much. Please give us money!"

Notice how no final specs were announced?
Notice how no price was announced?
Notice how no release date was announced?
Notice how no hardware was shown?
Speakers talked that this software was running on prototype hardware.

This is PROOF that Sony is in deep trouble and requires investor support to even get the PS4 off the ground.

The ps4 will be fine, the WiiU on the other hand.......

I really didn't see anything that could fair badly for Nintendo. Sure they have the weakest console, but this we knew for months. It still scalable so they will see better multi support, but not everything.

Yeah, as far as the PS4 graphics go, they look great, don't get me wrong. But basically confirmed what I suspected, that the graphics, while still a significant leap from Wii U, seems to be a much less noticable gap this time around compared to Wii vs PS3. Aside from some pretty complex looking dust and particle effects and detailed specularity, I didn't see in game footage in that presentation that I felt even the PS3 couldn't handle, let alone the Wii U.

So I have a feeling games will be easier to port to Wii U this time. Now whether or not that actually translates to better third party support for Nintendo, that is doubtful. But cross platform should at least be a more viable option this time than last gen.

This is exactly right! As generations progress, a VISUAL improvement would require a much higer exponential in improvement than what technology can do. Finer improvements become less discernable to the eye, and look like only minor improvements compared to the effort needed to generate them.

On a lighter note, how many wrinkly old guys did we need to see in the graphics demos?

No idea, but good luck finding one.  Might be a little bit early yet.

That says the stream will be repeating, but doesn't say when.

P.S. I haven't watched them myself, but this guy seems to have uploaded the full conference in 18 parts:

It was perfect, I don´t even have anything else to say.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

They HAVE to say that, because as I said, this was a pitch to the investors. Sony wouldn't be happy if people came up saying "Well it's a leap above the PS3, but nowhere near the leap we got from the PS2 to PS3...."

Yeah, epic a independant company needs to say something about Ps4's specs so investors will support Ps4 even though epic gets nothing... go learn something

That racing game looked extremely boring. A couple of the titles have some potential, that Capcom thingy could be something worthwhile if its something along the lines of Demon's Souls and Witness seemed pretty intriguing and different.
Overall though, there was lots of big talk and I got the feeling that the next gen might distance itself even more for my part than the 7th gen has, all the social focus, connectivity, sharing etc is not my cup of tea.

As a concept and as a console (as much as we can call them that in these days) it seems brilliant, I really cannot wait to see what MS will counter this with. Personally though, I don't think I feel greatly excited about the whole thing, its simply not built for someone like me. But, that's fine.
