Forums - Sony - Was anybody else underwhelmed by the PS4 event?

You have to keep in mind that E3 is just in a few months away so naturally they're saving some things for that.
I think this is the best console reveal we've ever seen. They managed to balance games with new features and showed off quite alot.

The graphics were pretty stunning, especially killzone. The 3rd games were more in line with what we've seen on high-end PCs but the particle effects across the board were insane!

Not sure why people wanted to see it so badly either.

I'm pretty sure it will be square-ish and black...

All the games shown just feel recycled, they're beautiful (especially that Killzone game) but where's the originality gone?... I just hope Sony Santa Monica's new IP isn't something generic and unimaginative, Sony must have high expectations of it to save it for E3 and I really hope Naughty Dog make another new IP that takes place in a fantasy setting.

Nothing made me remotely interested. Sony need something at E3 to move the needle.

I mean, show the system and a price at least. If I am greedy a game I'd like to play.

The lack of Kaz was disturbing.

Biggest disappointment since Click Frenzy..

Hahaha, only an Aussie will understand this.

My thoughts that I posted in the duplicated thread:

Well I missed the first 50mins so cannot comment in full.

What I did saw the two key things that stood out was.

- The face emotions
- The Capcom game (although it looks like a love child of about 4 other games)

First part was fantastic. I liked all the properties revealed. Mark Cerny's segment was excellent, he said everything I wanted to hear.

The last part was OK at best. Bungie was interesting, Watchdogs was good, the rest were obviously waiting for E3.

I think Mark Zuckerberg is very excited right now.

Some parts of the showing were a hit and miss.

I felt kinda bad for the presenters. I like the way the one guy described DriveClub, and I don't play racing simulations.

As soon as I saw Knack I thought, "This is what the KazHeads are soiling themselves over?" Not interested.
