Vita?

As I said before, I don't think Sony sees the mistakes we see as "errors"

Vita is somethign else. Sony obviously doesn't understand the portable market. The home console market they do understand. In fact, I'm sure they wont' repeat the 1-year headstart or the huge price difference. Those 2 alone really killed them this gen, and without those 2 mistakes they have a chance to be market leader.

I don't see why Vita is something different. It is another gaming system made by Sony. I thought they would learn to not launch a high-priced powerful system without an innovative selling point. Yet, they still launched it and a year late. They pulled a PS3 with the Vita. With that said, I agree that the Orbis won't launch late this time. (compared to Durango) However, I do disagree about the price. Sony doesn't see the huge price or advanced tech as a mistake like us consumers do. Sony seems to like their 10-year cycles and in order to do this, you need to have a pretty powerful future-proof system. I could be wrong, but I personally see Sony launching at a high price point and with powerful tech again despite the PS3 & Vita launches. They will be banking on turning things around later in the Gen just like the PS3 did. I still think they expect PS3 to sell the most for this Gen actually. It isn't really a bad plan but more risky.

BTW guys Im trolling most of you bored at work. Sorry

That being said I still think Sony fans shouldn't claim victory when we dont know what Xbox is bringing. I was mostly just bored though amd wanted to get some lively discussion going

1. Well its a portable so there's that.
2. In case you forgot, Vita was priced equal to the 3DS but Nintendo chickened out and did a massive price drop.
3. Handhelds are handhelds. Not much you can do with innovation. It's all about the must-have games and Vita is lacking in those.

You can't be serious...

why not bring up a more positive topic?

I remember the Wii U hype and hating it And finding the site boring, yet being cortious enough to let live and let people have fun. Not posting negative thinking in every Nintendo thread . hmmmm...

That and once again every Sony fan is being pronounced as part of a Borg type hive mind. No individuals. Last time I checked I played games on PS3, 360, Nexus 7, and Wii.

Nintendo fans believe that because the WiiU is selling badly that every other console will sell badly. - It's logic bro!

Microsoft fans believe MS has the US on lockdown for next gen, so nextgen battleground is EU. - It's logic bro!

Sony fans are excited about a new console unveiling and think its gonna crush everything in its path, no exceptions. Sony can do no wrong. - Fucking PS fans! I hate em!

Fixed that for ya

Thanks pal!

Glad to see you had no issue with MS fans thinking the new XBox is going to crush anything in it's path in the US. MS can do no wrong.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

They are getting way to overconfident. Just like when the 7th gen started and they were sayin PS3 would win, instead it got them last place. Let's wait til all the 8th gen consoles are out til we make predictions on who will win

Sorry Bro - Sony is right now on 2nd Place and will sell many years after this Gen is "over" till they stop producing PS3 Hardware...At the end it will be at least 10-20 millions ahead.
The VGchartz numbers are biased...Oh Sony is outselling the 360 5 years in a row...Yeah just add 10 million every week to the 360!;)

4 hours till the king of the NextGen is going to be revealed right?
Man Sony is getting everyone in as it looks like - Inviting everyone who is available and not a 1st party studio of Nintendo and Microsoft.
This will be big especially after all their 1st,2nd and close 3rd Party studios get excited over twitter for days now.

1) Yes, a portable gaming system made by Sony. It isn't like they decided to start selling houses. They have tons of experience with gaming systems including the PSP which started off much stronger than what Vita is doing.

2) That has absolutely nothing to do with my posts. I didn't bring up the 3DS at all. The point was that Vita was priced too high, so was the 3DS which is why they Price Cut. The difference is that Sony couldn't Price Cut that soon because unlike Nintendo, Sony wasn't making buckets of money off each Vita sold.

3) You can certainly have innovation with Handhelds. Of course the innovation will only go so far without great games that utilize it well just like with consoles.

None of your 3 points had much to do with what I said in my previous post though. I was simply saying that based off of past systems, Sony likes the powerful tech and high price strategy. Again, not really a bad thing just more risky. To say that Sony won't repeat the same "mistakes" again is being hopeful because I don't think Sony views them as mistakes.
