I suppose I should give Monster Hunter another try now that they're releasing a demo for it. @_@

How long did you play it for?

How long did you play it for?

~4 hours (I think it was introducing water battles?). I was at a point in my life where I just didn't have the time to invest in the game, and it wasn't clicking for me. So I gave up on it.

Yeah, four hours is nothing.  The first twenty hours is a tutorial...  The best way to learn is to play online with someone that knows what they are doing.  Someone that won't be pissed off that you don't.

So Zelda gets hell for having an hour long tutorial, but it's "HECK YEAH MONSTAH HUNTAH!" for a 20 hour one? Oh video game community, you so crazy.

But man, the way you describe it sounds so anti-fun. *laughs* But regardless, I'll be there tomorrow, downloading it with the rest of you folks!

Not really a tutorial.  More of a learning experience.  It doesn't hold your hand at all like Zelda...

I'll download the demo, but I can't see myself buying the game. Monster Hunter is way too time-consuming and repetitive.

What else is there to play on the Wii U?

Come on, do it! We could team-up and trash talk Germans. You know you want to.

Yes, that would be the only reason to buy the game. But I intend to get Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon which releases in the following week and then Fire Emblem: Awakening which comes out in mid-April. Plus Pikmin 3 which is scheduled for sometime in April too. There's not really an urge to have Monster Hunter, especially if Etrian Odyssey IV sees a May or June release. Like Fire Emblem, that's another game that can easily fill a full month.

I am disappointed in you.  I lobbed a softball down the middle and you didn't swing.

By the way, I am definitely going to try Fire Emblem finally and also pick up Luigi's Mansion and hunt some monsters and mod some people and watch my eyes bleed.
