Calling it Soda seems dishonest to me, at least where I have been in Europe "Soda" was used to describe bottled water (mostly carbonated).

I usually start it back with a $450,000 crack party. http://www.comedycentral.com/video-clips/ycjdk7/chappelle-s-show-tyrone-biggums-crack-intervention |
Quit waffling back and forth, pick a vice and stick to it. How are you going to maintain a steady job if you can't even commit to your drug habit?

I don't worry much about additives and such, but the fact it has so much sugar and caffeine means I rarely drink it. Cold water tastes great to me, and my city has good quality water.

Interesting/short video. Explains why there's high fructose corn syrup in soda and not just sugar.

Yay for north european water quality! Quite similar in south Germany, our Felsquellwasser is also filtered by cooled out volcanos deep below the aurface, I think. A+ quality^^
If we only eat and drink that which is most healthy we would be living on a caveman diet.
No thanks. I'll just continue to regulate my overall sugar and calorie intake and keep enjoying the stuff that makes life worth living in a responsible manner. I drink mostly water, but I do have a can of cola when I have a burger or pizza. BTW, I make my own burger patties with 50/50 lean beef and zucchini and make my own low fat pizza from scratch at full size and only 150 calories a slice.
I don't need Sugar Nazi nutritionists to tell me sugar is bad. I know too much sugar is bad so I don't consume too much sugar. It's common sense. Anyone who drinks more than a few cans of soda a week should know better.

Best approach there is. Limit soda to some special meals (it will taste even better then) and actually cook yourself. It WILL taste better and it WILL be healthier, even if the industrial variant is labeled junkfood your homecooked version probably won't be.
I drink natural homemade juice multiples times every day. I drink a lot of water and whenever I'm thirsty, that's the first choice hands down.
That said, if I'm at a restaurant on Saturday, and there is no juice on the menu, I'm not giving up soda in favor of water. I just don't feel it is the right complement.
Soda is really bad on excess, but once a week it's normal and won't kill me.
