Here is a video  of the 360 version vs PC maxc settings http://www.eurogamer.net/videos/need-for-speed-most-wanted-pc-vs-xbox-360-video, the basically look almost look exactly the same, so i will wait for the DF comparison, cause this comparison is blurry and is not even from the same time of day.

Yeah, DF comparison should be interesting to see - that link you provided shows a LOT less difference between PC and 360 versions than those shots between WiiU and 360...which is very strange, to say at least.

An interesting note, Criterion said the WiiU version would be the 'best looking version of the game by far', they didn't just say 'best looking console version'. Maybe they were able to tweak it to look even better than the PC version? That would be interesting considring how 'weak' the GPU is supposed to be. I know Nintedo has developed a custom API based on OpenGL for their GPU , maybe that is the difference between the early ports and this - using the custom API vs standard OpenGL on the early ports (standard OpenGL can run on the WiiU, but much less efficiently than the custom Nintendo API).

That's why shouldn't buy into the PR hype machine, how can it look better then the PC version, when the pc version will be 1080p,  almost perfect AA and 60 fps. you can make a comparsion to witcher 2 on 360, they improved the lighting on the 360 version but it never had a chance of looking better or even coming close to the pc.

Visuals being technically better and higher resolution does not always mean they actually look beter. Maybe they did some things artistically with lighting and reflection effects combined with the high end textures that makes them think this looks better from an artistic standpoint. I've seen the PC version, and I thought the videos on from the WiiU looked prettier, maybe not technically better, but more pleasing to the eye. The videos certainly look good, both visuals and framerate. It's nearly imossile to differentiate 720P from 1080P when sitting on the couch anyway (especially if your TV isn't above 55"). I'll take gorgeous textures and lighting at 720P over generic, artistically bland visuals at 1080P any day.

I think we can't really judge at this point till we get a proper comparsion, like the video i posted or full hd pics of the same exact place at the same eact time with the same car.

Sure, we can't make a technical judgement yet (resolution, framerate), but there are several videos of actual gameplay, and they all look significantly better visually than the 360 version.

Too bad Nintendo fans hate EA games, they probably would have enjoyed this one.

no-they won't.

wii U has no analog triggers.Racing game without analogs=playing shooter with d pad=50% less fun.

I just posted a video of the 360 version vs the pc at max settings, and they look almost the same, sorry but i don't see the wii u version looking better then that.

On the comparison of the 360 to PC version, the PC version has noticably better textures and a better framerate than the 360 version. On the lighting, I prefer the PC version, but the difference is subtle in most shots. Some close-up shots of wet road, the reflection looks a bit better on PC, while in other cases lighting looks the same or only marginally better on the PC version.

GO TO digitial foundry, they full hd pics of both the wii u version and pc version, the pc version looks  better cause the of the 1080p and it's jaggie free, full hd pics is the best comparson, go see for your self, also the shadows look jaggie on the cars just like the current gen versions which are using pc low settings.

Lighting, shadow resolution, reflection effects, texture resolution, geometry, and framerate are also better on the PC version (on a good card). WiiU version uses the high-res PC textures and enhanced lighting effects specific to that version, but still utilizes the geometry from the PS360 version. What remains to be seen is how rendering resolution and framerate comapare WiiU vs PS360.

Looks like someones finally going to use the additional ram for better textures.

From the Eurogamer/Digital Foundry article:

"High-res PC textures are the headline addition, but Criterion has also improved night-time lighting after employing new staff who previously worked in the motion picture business. In contrast to the other versions, the game begins at night perhaps to highlight the difference."

"The result is unarguably the one of the most impressive, technologically challenging cross-platform conversions the Wii U has in its roster. Owing to the 1GB of RAM available to developers - compared to the 512MB on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 - the Wii U version features the enhanced textures currently found only on the PC version. It sounds like an ambitious addition, but it proved to be no issue for the team."

"Questions about the theoretical bottlenecks of the Wii U hardware - the RAM set-up, the bandwidth - are left unanswered. Partly because we're straying into NDA territory and partly because we get the distinct impression that, for Criterion at least, it wasn't an issue."

"The Wii U has had a bit of a bad rap - people have said it's not as powerful as 360, this, that and the other. That, by and large, has been based on apples to oranges comparisons that don't really hold water. Hopefully we'll go some way to proving that wrong,"

"we'll save the forensic eyeballing until the game goes final, but it's difficult not to be impressed with the quality of the results thus far."

On the CPU: "When they first looked at the specs on paper a lot of developers said, 'Well, you know this is a bit lightweight' and they walked away. I think a lot of people have been premature about it in a lot of ways because while it is a lower clock-speed, it punches above its weight in a lot of other areas,"

yup i think the frame rate will be the biggest factor,  developers say it will be more stable but i only trust in DF, cause developers have been proving wrong so many times.

I see the anti-U brigade has responded to their latest emergency.
