holy crap, it really seems like microsoft has some secret deal with big retailers in america to force their employees to buy XBoxes instead of PS3s. Or are they really that uninformed? I can't believe some stuff in here. if ANY employee would tell me bullshit like mentioned here in the thread i'd definitely call the store manager to tell him his people are fools.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

Yet to experience or hear any of that any where until I walked into this thread.  Must be just a local thing.

Da hell is it with employees trying to push the 360?! I've seen quite a few people here having faced the same problem. What gives?!

GameStop Employees are the reason the XB360 is still selling well over here. ;-P

I got my ps3 in Jan and Killzone 2 came out the next month in Feb . so i went to go get it and it was the first exclusive game i would buy. i asked him if the online was similar to COD cause i really liked Cod4 and WAW, but he wouldn't tell me he just kept saying that that aiming is broken and its one of the worst first person shooters...I ended up enjoying that game for quite a long time hahah

GAME has got, probably, the worst employees when it comes to gaming knowledge. The people there is kind, and the prices are not very crazy (most of the times...), but seriously, those don't have any idea about gaming in general xD

Probably the best example that comes to my mind:

C: Hello! I would like to purchase Final Fantasy XIII.

G: The ps3 version, right?

C; Are there any diferences between versions?

G: Sure, Ps3 game comes in three discs! IMAGINE HOW MANY DISCS ARE IN THE XBOX VERSION!

The worst I got was when I bought my second PS2 (because my fat one didn't read disc anymore). The guy was so desperate to sell me his extended warranty that according to him it was a certainty that my new PS2 would break down after a year.

Signature goes here!

It wasn't me, but while I was in Gamestop with a friend some guy asked the lady working there if he could get the Jak and Daxter collection and she asked "for which system?"

The guy, my friend, and myself all facepalmed.

Also yeah, Gamestop REALLY likes the 360. They make damn sure the 360 section with the huge banner that says "Xbox" is visible from outside the store.

He was 100% correct. It has extreme input lag, to be more precise.

Going to Gamestop:
Me- "Hi, do you have a copy of Xenoblade?"
Employee- "What system?"
Me- "Uh... Wii, since that is the only system it is on."
Employee- "That is not right it is on the ps3/360 as well"
Me- "Your kidding me right?"
Employee- "Well it says here we are out"
Me- "How did you get hired here?"

I always wonder if Gamestop actually has reasonable prices in other countries. I only visit Gamestop here when I'm in need of a good laugh. Those prices for USED games are absolutely delusional over here.

gamestop games prices here cost more 20 euros than any online store in my country.

online store : 50 euros a day one game and 35 euros 2 months later

gamestop : 70 euros day one and after 2 years it still is like 65 or 60 euros

That´s the main reason why Gamestop has closed its 13 stores in Portugal. Gamestop even tried to sold used games more expensive than new ones.
