Oh yeah like the rest of the gaming world I kind of forgot about KZ3. Actually I bought it day one. But the point remains.

And no, Mario is still somehow better, even "200" iterations later.

I don't mean better in terms of quality, but in that there's less milk dripping off the game cases.

Why do you think less gamers jizzing over KZ3 than Mario is a good thing?

Can you really hold HW to the same standards as SW? even then Kz4 and Ps4 are nowhere near Mario thus no hypocritical statements made

FFVII and PS1 marks paradigm shift in Japanese game development (CD, FMV), in the end it failed hard, the complete irrelevancy of entire industry which bet on one card (Playstation card) is nothing arbitrary.

So the decline of the Japanese development industry had nothing to do with the rapid expansion of development in the west?  It was all because of CDs?  None of which would have happened if FF7 had stayed with Nintendo?

Not only is that amazingly simplistic, it's also kind of silly.

LOL too bad Nintendo doesn't engage in this type of Google Ad marketing. Would be hilarious if after the event they put one out.

Sony was the reason Square became so popular...and then Square Enix ruined the company themselves.

it was short lived popularity, they became megalomaniacs and this killed them, it was this reason S-E was born, Sakaguchi left...

Maybe if you want to spin things then yeah thats what i said. Still doesn't confirm what you said.  Which was releasing new hardware every six years is milking. Which its not. it is normal technology progression. you are just completely ignorant and are now just trying to justify that ignorance

Why?

No matter what Sony shows, fans will make it like something mindblowing.
They could show a turd with pencils in it and the internet will go nuts over this anyway.

It doesn't matter which games are shown or teased, the internet will go crazy. Look at the games Sony released last year. Some guys here said PSABR will be such a great game and even predicted sales in the 4-5 million region.

Look how people got crazy for The Last Guardian in... I guess it was 2009. It actually won E3 awards for best game of the show (which tells you something about those awards as well).

Look how people praised the NGP, which became the Vita. 3DS was basically doomed for months.

I expect a few teasers and trailers and the internet will be like 'Sony has the best 1st party lineup of all times!'. In reality, it is freaking hard to work with Sony as a studio these days.

Vita was praised because people believed the price was good and because people believe games were coming. The hardware is obviously awesome, that's what people saw at the time. Then Nintendo dropped the price of 3DS by 30%...

Honestly, I think he's just upset MS isn't getting nearly as much hype as Sony for their next console.  Sony is getting hype not just from diehard fans, but the average gamer, as well.  I got a couple of guys from work who gamed on nothing but the 360 this gen, but said they are jumping ship if the Kinect 2 rumors turn out to be true.  They also don't want to pay for LIve, anymore.  Read similar things from posts on gaming websites, including this one, too.  It's kinda like MS is getting anti-hype, except from diehard fans, from their leaks.  Next gen is going to be interesting.

I don't know. Nintendo is no stranger to leveraging the sex appeal of female protagonists. There's an armor type in Xenoblade that is more or less invisible.

 

That's very nifty armor, yes, but ... I mean, have you played Bayonetta?  It's far, far beyond just showing skin.

Seriously, at the end she kills a female angel with a sexual torture attack.  I'm not saying Nintendo will demand Bayonetta 2 be toned down but it also wouldn't surprise me.


How would such a thing be determined? Platinum Games might self-censor in order to appeal to broader audience, like they did with...

...oh wait. MadWorld is actually strong evidence that given the freedom, Platinum will do whatever they feel like irrespective of platform.
