The most amusing thing about this is that he said exactly the same about the 3DS. And that's doing gangbusters now lol.

All the Wii U needs is the release of Mario Kart U and 2D Mario in November/December...they probably won't even need to cut the price of the thing, but the release of those two titles and a $50/£50 price cut will well and truly scupper the launches of the other two consoles.

And for giggles, anyone want to see what he said about the original Nintendo Wii?

WIIU is selling HORRIBLY. That's why he's dooming and glooming.

It's in stock EVERYWHERE right now and selling what amounts to what is probably minimum numbers based on hardcore gamers wanting it, sales guys recommending it over Sony or MS.

They NEED to get some 3rd party exclusives. Nintendo IP is NOT going to carry this console. Thats my own personal projection.

His business is to say SOMETHING. Unfortunately, I can't find what he said. What I had found was a quote that took a shot at the Wii U, that also dragged the Wii in the mud. Then I tried to clean up what I wrote, to see if people could find stuff, because I couldn't. However, I do kinda remember Pachter was wrong about the Wii also.
