VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

Around the Network

Both are very cool, but I like my PS3 better than my Xbox360 and had more fun with it through the years.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Lol ohhh shit shots fire. Pew Pew.

Looks to me like inFAMOUS and LBP both not only continue to improve upon their "promises", but are still garnering news as I type. MM and SP aren't causing issue for Sony, and the teams that were, have been disbanded. All esle can only be speculated.

Now your just regressing to that argument instead of the numbers argument, which was my entire premise. I am not talking about how they improve gameplay/promises with each release, im talking its sales over time. Gaming news reports on new developements, that in itself isn't noteworthy. Bottom line sales are what I was talking about. It would look very bad for Sony to drop them so soon after acquiring them. Id imagine they give them (and their IPs) a couple more tries before making any tough decisions. But thats speculation off course, and kinda off topic of my origional point, but I imagine that is what you wanted, to bring me into "your turf" so to speak.

My downward trend argument stands, regardless if you think I just spin whatever I want for my own viewpoint.

My whole point to you, which hasn't shifted even slightly, is that the numbers are meaningless outside of your personal opinion. You can prove that the sequels did less. OK, great, Gears of War 3 sold less than Gears of War 2 - so what? It's as I've said to you, nothing beyond speculating.

Except Gears 3 sold 5.75 million......allready a massive profit. My examples, recently LBP Karting/LBP Vita, are both below 0.5 million. Infamous 2 barely crossed 1.5 million. Hardly the same thing concerning profitability and sustainability.

Your saying success is relative. Ok. Cool. Proving that the 2 IPs sold less over time was my point. Sorry that I am using common sense (speculation in your terms) that Sony "should" expect higher numbers. In the end, I took concrete numbers and formed an opinion and your just using relativity as your main response. Please.

Tell us, what games are underperforming from the new studios.

I believe Sony purchased the Infamous studio and Media Molecule this gen. In both cases the IPs from them have failed to create blockbuster sales and have both dropped off in sales with every successive release.

Oh, silly me. I thought "underperforming" meant we knew, for sure, it didn't reach expectations of the company. Carry on. ;)

LBP - 5.13 m, LBP 2 - 2.84 m

LBP (PSP) - 2.17 m, LBP Vita - 0.35 m (currently)

LBP Karting - 0.42 m (currently)

Infamous - 2.56, Infamous 2 - 1.53

Oh im sorry, I had no idea that Sony either bought them knowing that sales would decrease rather then increase....an exact opposite motivation to acquire a budding IP and developer for themselves, OR that they have very low expectations as a company.

Don't know why your picking a fight with me on this one, yet still maintaining the ";)" attitude despite the numbers being clearly in my favor.

Both LBP and Infamous games have been used as offerings for PS plus multiple times, they would likely be attributed to a lot of subscriptions, and both series are available as digital download.

So now you've moved to profits? OK. Do we know if LBP2 and inFAMOUS 2 weren't profitable? LBP Vita/Karting were spin-off and/or non-MM titles, so they pack little relevance to the discussion.

You talk common sense, let's use it - assuming something is fact without anything concrete is, in fact, lacking sense. Your point - MM and Sucker Punch are "underperforming". Mine - we have no clue about that. THE Point - speculation at best. All I can say - when sequels/new IPs are no longer in the works for either company, let's come back here. :)

Was that your idea? To wait for me to slip up and POUNCE on that? lol w/e. My point was sales (sustainability), I wrote profitability while in the moment. Forgive my grave error ;)

Its a simple opinion...using declining numbers over time I say the IPs are underperforming. You say "you can't prove anything". Well woop-de-do, thats just my take based on whatever concrete info the site offers, sorry that Sony doesn't tell me the $$$ numbers. And im sorry that it hit a nerve enough that you had to get into a prolonged discussion trying to tell me that my opinion doesn't agree with you.

Guess debates on gaming in general are meaningless, since nothing can be truly 100% proved. What a joke response. Claiming ignorance to educated guesses....

Im not debating with anyone else at this time, thanks. But if those numbers truly meant something, then Sony would have announced PS Plus suscription numbers a long time ago.

Wasn't planning on a debate, just merely pointing that out. Why would they buy the game when they could get it for way better value on PS plus. In fact I think buying PS+ alone for one of them is cheaper than the game itself (on top of other PS+ stuff), so people would obviously choose this route to get the game, thus no sales recorded.

Oh you haven't hit any nerves (in fact, it would appear like you're the one with sweaty temples). Truth is I don't care to prove you wrong, I would have preferred to learn something new here. But alas, I didn't, outside of what I already suspect - MM and Sucker Punch will remain worthwhile investments.

lol get over yourself. Your the one speculating if anything, with declining numbers being the only facts we have working against your claim. Same thing happened to Zipper and Liverpool. They didn't close overnight but had numerous failed chances (sales wise).

Again thats speculation but I can say, from whatever data we do have access to, that those 2 developers Sony acquired aren't paying off as well as Sony expected. Speculation? Sure. But its based off of something at least.

Well as an owner of both consoles & xblg, I always picked PS3 since they had the best quality "X-high HD!"
