So 358k for PS3 + Wii? That doesn't seem to make sense..

It seems that they are including WiiU on that number. It's the only reasonable explanation.

LOL but they say "current-gen consoles"... Microsoft trolling the Wii U? rofl

To MS generations most likely just means what's currently the newest release for each of the big 3 so now they include Wii U and not Wii.

Hmm that would make sense but we have Wii U below the Wii...

So either we have Wii U undertracked (most likely) or they include the Wii as well.

Good 360 sales... PS3 seems to be in the same track.

@kowen was wrong about 30% drop this in US... seems more like 20%... great sales.

if xbox is 44% at 280k and wii is 80k, current gen, that makes wii around 15%, which makes ps3 40% and nearer to 200k than 130k

So the PS3 is undertracked by around 80k and the 360 by some 30k?

well i did the math wrong in that post but...well, depends if they mean wiiu u and not wii and if wiiu is undertracked....

basically nintendo and sony are 357k...and we have ps3 at 147k, meaning that wiiu would have to be undertracked by 130k...if there is no ps3 undertrack. i think wiiu can be as high as 130k (50k undertracked) which would mean ps3 undertracked by 80k, so yes, is my answer.

Well considering that both EEDAR and Wedbush have substantially higher Wii U predictions it's definitely the most likely scenario.

"Five of the top 10 games for the month were for the Xbox 360. The games are Far Cry 3, NBA 2K13, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Madden NFL 13, and Halo 4."

So no DmC? O.o

im betting wiiu undertracked.
wii not included
and ps3 around 250k or slightly more.

2012 ps3 did 248k...250k would follow a similar drop yoy that 360 is showing.

I'm betting everything included, PS3 ~150K. 2012 PS3 did 190K if OP numbers are correct.

Going by this chart Ni No Kuni didn't even make the top ten; http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2013-02-14-us-game-sales-climb-9-percent-in-5-week-january-period

"With the exception of Capcom's new Devil May Cry, January saw no major releases to speak of on the top ten, so 2012's year-end hot sellers like Call of Duty and Far Cry 3 continued to top the charts. That said, new releases did fare a bit better than in past January periods. "While the number of new SKUs was relatively consistent for January 2013 compared to January 2012, performance of new SKUs this year versus last was six times as high, lifted by the success of titles like DMC: Devil May Cry and Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch," observed NPD industry analyst Liam Callahan."

doesnt make sense kynes.
in fact you look at 2012 jan and its easy to see this past month was poorly tracked.
360 went from 320 to 250k (predicted)
and ps3 went from 250 to 150
40%~ drop compared to 30%~ drop when this past year ps3 has been down much less than 360.
