lol...what is this "Saturn" and virtuaboy sold better? Were any of you guys following gaming in 1995 to believe this nonsence?

Saturn sold 2 million in USA LIFETIME in 3 years on the market. 6 mil in Japan and 1 mil in Europe.

Trust me I still have my Saturn and was number 1 fan of Sega back then.

I don't know about VirtualBoy but that thing sold nothing and was discontinued in 3 months.

I just don't like how he drags his words. I know he's Japanese and all but can't you just hire a translator?

Maybe since he is the CEO he feels that he must speak to us "personally"? But I see what you're saying. He can be quite a slow talker.

How did the Dreamcast compare?

Dreamcast sold well in USA initially but poorly in Japan and Europe.

They sold something like 6 million dreamcasts in 2 years in USA and 10 million overall.

So it may have sold on par with WiiU. Mind you, when they announced the discontinuation of dreamcast, it was sold for 99 then later at 49 bucks.

Dang 360 dominating the market and being up YoY. Although with an extra week. Nobody is really pointing out the fact that the 360 did so well, I guess because it always does well. Wii U is terrible, even worse then vita now why is this?

Maybe, I didn't read the whole twitter chain...

I wish Saturn sold better lol than WiiU.  Sega may still be making hardware in that case and we would still have the ultimate Dpad and controller layout for 2D fighters. :)

I suspect they mean when tracked from release.

Casuals aren't on board, no Zelda for some frontloaded sales, lack of games releasing in January, February.

Also too expensive.
