Forums - Gaming - Have you ever been so hyped for a game that you couldnt admit that it was bad when playing it

Halo Reach....Kinda kill the series for me.

Nope. I never really get that hyped for a game. The only exception would be Brawl because of all the info we knew about it before it launched. Luckily, that game didn't disappoint.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

This gen so far I have only been "hyper hyped" for MGS4 and GOW3, and a bit for U2/3. And those are in my top 5 games of this generation. Now, I am a bit hyped for GOW:Ascension and TLoU so most probably they will be badass AAAA games!!

It is really difficult for me to get hyped about a game this days. But I still can recognize if I will have fun with the game or if the game for me is good or not :D.

In general at first I was hyper hyped with MGS3, but I was a bit disappointed because I had some misconception about the controls, so when I tried to sneak I could not, or when I tried to use someone as a human shield I could not, but then I read the manual and all became so clear lol. After that incident the game become ultra mega awesome!! XD. Not realizing that the fucking D-pad was used to sneak still makes me angry a bit even today lol XD.

I only ever get hyped over the next Falcom game, so there's no possible way I could be let down.

Diablo 3 after the first playthrough and when the realisation set in about how shallow the game was. I kept on playing hoping I would get better loot and that the game would get better. 100 hours later and a full 3 playthroughs I had picked up a grand total of 2 unique items both of which were bad and I finally accepted that the one thing that should have been a given in D3 which was good loot was ruined. On top of that them dumbing down skill customisation and making the whole game one massive gear check really disappointed me. I feel so burned by Blizzard with regards to D3 that I think I'm done with that franchise.

nope

I was super hyped for Skyward Sword. It looked like a sequel to Wind Waker. It did not play at all like WW or even look half as good. I was super super disappointed, but tried to hide it.

no, not that I can think of anyway. I have certainly been really hyped for a game and then ended up disappointed, but not to a point that I wouldn't admit it was bad.

Like Dragon Age 2. I was so excited for that game, but I was pretty let down by it. There are just so many problems with the game... complete rush job and just bad storytelling...

Turok was a pretty awesome game. Me and my lil bro played it and it was pretty badass. Not sure how you didn't like it.

Alone in the Dark - Inferno on PS3. Just after I was done with Resident Evil 4(all-time best), thought this game could be worth the same thrill. It was so horrible.
