i wouldn't be surprised if these guys all get pink slips from ubisoft for this stunt.

naaa, the rayman games seem to be pretty good and are getting good reviews. ubisoft isnt dumb enough to let go of a well crafted talented team. plus if they do it it will just increase the level of bad publicity it has been recieving, its a lose - lose situation then. i hope they actually release the game on the WiiU now. i doubt it. but hopefully they will come out with a solution, like teh dev team recieving some cash bonus or something

I dunno.  Seems like a perfect Good Cop/ Bad cop situation to me.   "Ubi made a "Bad" decision, but the devs wanted to make the "right" choice!  So we can't punish the rayman devs because ubisoft is a big dick!"

It should bring up Wii U sales marginally among the few who actually might not of bought the game because of this incident.

I think Ubisoft decision was a massive let down (and I don't even care for Rayman or WiiU), but it was disrespectful towards WiiU owners and the gaming community.

games get delayed all the time, no biggie. but it was disrespectful towards the devs, who apperantly worked overtime for months to get this done, only to find out that the time they spent away from their families was all for nothing since they apperantly could have extra time to work on the game

I really don't think this will change anything but it's good to know the devs are doing something to change it.

I may have mentioned this before, but can anyone think of any kind of negative consequence for Ubisoft to quietly release Legends on eShop this month, and re-release it physically in September with the marketing push? Would this cost them anything at all?

There's probably some contract issues by doing that. With the rumors that it was MS "fault" for the game's delay I think this will be impossible.

The reason likely for the delay might be because of Microsoft's policy about a multiplatform being released at the same time on their console as other consoles?

Michel Ancel is Rayman... That would be like firing Miyamoto for protesting against withholding the release of a mario game.

I don't think they'd fire Michael Ancel.  He created Rayman.   He also created Beyond Good and Evil and the first 2 Rayman Raving Rabbids games.   He's a pretty key creative mind at Ubisoft and he's been with them for 23 years.
