Once per month at least I drank pretty heavily. It's just too much fun to be in drunk once in a while. Next day is not that fun though...Grapefruit long drinks are way to go (finnish speciality)

Yes, although not that much. At college we have the most useless class at friday morning, so we usually go to a bar thursday evening. That's about it...

They have no vices and stick to strict morals and values.

Alcohol isn't a vice...only in excess is it a vice, just like everything else. Hell, fruit juice in excess is a vice...

Don't get me wrong - Im not saying you're wrong in what you've described, just that being "straightedge" sounds quite a flawed notion. 

Do not drink and probably will not ever drink. I have highly addictive behavior that I am sure that I would get addicted and it would take years to break. Addiction to anything is bad.

I used to drink occasionally, a little with my work friends, with meals, etc.
but the day I got my first apartment my friends and I got destroyed....

I didn't say alcohol was a vice.  I only described what a straight edge is.  It's often a subculture of punk rock (sounds counter but I think that's supposed to be part of the point).  Usually vegans and into animal rights, eco stuff and similar causes.

Yes. At university I indulged in the sad British spectacles of public drunkness and binge drinking, though never to the point I was a problem for other people or the emergency services.

I toned down after starting my Masters. I now I have two or three drinks each night of the weekend. Very occasionally I do drink far too much, though with nowhere near the frequency I used to.

I used to drink mainly for fun, but now drink for the various types of alcohol that I've come to like. I particularly enjoy different ales, whiskys, and gins.
