I will try to find it but I think there were around 4 retail titles. Ninja Gaiden was one of them

Damn, 12K less than the Vita. And it includes the bundled Nintendo Land. And while NG3 isn't a HUGE game release, I would think it would be enough for some kind of boost.

Yep.  VGC has it ~10K for HW in Jan, so it doesn't look like there is a chance that it's undertracked in the UK.

Ninty should do more Nintendo directs. No joke. The last event was great. SHowed many games, gameplay and got people hyped. They really should have spread it across the board too imho. Imagine a nintendo direct every week to talk about a new game. Will do a lot to help consumer impressions and confidence. THis ofcourse is just part of the problem. THey have shown they can rise to the occassion before so let's see how well they do this time

THeir future funny enough can change a lot depending how bad MSony fucks up their system launches too. Either way an interesting year for everyone :D

Funny how any time there's a negative thread about Wii U, there seems to be a Playstation gamercard in the poster's signature. Just like clockwork..

The last Nintendo direct did nothing to move hardware sales. People will only start buying once the games are available.

And you have every right to criticize that, having never spoken of any other console outside of Nintendo consoles.

Nintendo can have all the NDs they want, it won't do anything.  They need to release the games, not just announce them.  As well as announce much more than just Wii and Gamecube remakes.  A price cut would probably do much more, though.  And while I agree that Sony and MS could screw up their launches, I just don't see it happening.  Man, next gen is going to be fun.

They could be the biggest Sony/Playstation fan in the world but the WiiU would still have sold terribly.

I own a 360 if that's what your refering to, so obviously I'm going to talk about it. I don't talk of PS3 that much, and btw I did own a PS3, before selling it back.
