Easy. You should have just had her play the sex scene.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

So I was playing GoW:GoS trying to platnium it when my wife comes in the room as I'm getting to Sparta. She sees that and makes a comment about brothels and I say "That's funny because I'm about to go to one" since one of the trophies I need is beating the sex minigame 3 times in a row to get the item. She flips the fuck out and says I can't play it anymore because it makes women an object. I was shocked at this. I told her I'm a damn grown up and can make choices of what I will and will not play. I also told her that we are all mature adults here and can handle a sex scene. I then asked her if we need to get rid of 300/dirty harry or other movies that show titties and has sex scenes. She said it was different because it is a video game. I responded that it's just another medium for entertainment and you can't apply a rule to one and not the other. She has since taken the game and hid it somewhere.... I have made sure she knows that I will be purchasing the new God of War in March and I will not stop playing these games and if she is going to restrict me then we are going to have some problems.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, but I found out where your wife hid it :)

Girls are like that. Play it when she is not at home. Don´t be sad, my ex was like that too.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

What's the big deal? It's just a little sex scene.

The only things that my wife is upset about gaming is she don't like it when I play violent games in front of the kids. I compromise by playing those games after the kids goes to bed, problem solve. There's always solution to every marriage and you guys will figure it out. Good luck dude.

*EDIT* - I have also pointed out she had no problem with things such as 50 shades of Grey. She read through the first book and thought it was poorly written and terrible so she wont read the other two but the concept was intriguing to her. (If people don't know what this is about it is about I'll just say there is a part in the book that talks about anl fisting). I said the book was a lot more explicit, graphic and vulgar.

She has also read a play by the Greek Aristopheles which talked about anal gaping, whores, getting blow jobs from men, and a lot other (again) explicit, graphic and vulgar parts.

If i had to guess, i would think the problem isnt the game but some sort of insecurity she is feeling. I dunno how your sex life is or what, but from the story i would think she might want to be pampered. I doubt the problem is the game. The mini-game isnt even graphic at all. You see a bit of tities but thats about it. I find it funny more than i would erotic.

Basically you need to sit down and be willing to listen to each other to find out the real root of the problem.

Sounds kind of like a power thing or related to guilt about a certain action or thought she had.

This is why Nintendo won't add achievements to their platforms.

I get where she's coming from. I myself am not a fan of those sex mini games as they are very uncomfortable if there's someone else in the room. Kids end up playing these games you know so.....

she had no right to hide the game though. She should have just left the room and not watched you play it.

That may be it but honestly I don't think it is. As for our sex life we got married in August and have been living together since October. School just started last month though so its slowed but not too much (But again, maybe the change is enough for her to notice). I completely agree about it being more funny than erotic. I told her it's been in every game (she has seen me play CoO but she didn't see the minigame) and I also told her when I played the original I didn't know it was in there and was shocked when I got to it.
