Forums - Sony - Naughty Dog wants to change the industry by rising above the 'idiot plot'

Based on the Uncharted series, no they are talking out of their ass. Set pieces, yes certainly, but the story hasn't changed a single thing in gaming.

It's odd because I was under the notion that they were talking about TLOU and not Uncharted. In Uncharted they moved it closer to cinematic with some characterisation to give you an incite into the motives of Drake,  but in TLOU they're taking it a step further.

But before rising above the idiot plot, they should rise above the Indiana Jones plot.

saving the same princess for the 4000 time is a better plot than indiana jones plot?

Mario isn't a story-driven game. People play it for just the gameplay, hardly anyone gives a shit about the story.

Attempt at being a smart alec = FAIL.

Quoted for the truth. Nobody was talking about Mario. Just a cheap and really pathetic trolling attempt.

like the cheap and trolling attempt by your frien RazorDragon there ;)

Yes. Two cheap trolling attempts, and I love Indiana Jones movies and Uncharted too LOL.

Uncharted 1 was like an Edam factory.

I still have to get round to playing Uncharted 2 & 3, but if UC1's story & dialogue are anything to go by, i suspect i will be visiting the Edam factory a couple more times.

Yes. Because the one doesn't have delusions of storytelling grandeur.

Then stick to your plumber saving a princess  from a giant turtle for billionth time for the last 25 years. Leave realistic, deeper and more complex games to people who want their experience to be little more fulfilling than just using 3 buttons to pass a level

Stop putting words on my mouth, man. Never said anything about princess, saving, or 4000.
