The European version is different.

OK, an earlier boxart-shot didn't included it. So it is probably an afterthought, digital download points in that direction. And you americans get the better deal. With nintendoland included in europe I would also have taken this pack.

It's probably a reaction to less-than-stellar sales and bundling Nintendoland as a download reduces manufacturing costs and keeps the box size the same. It's effectively a $50 price cut. And I'm rather sure we'll get this bundle in Europe, too

 

I have the ZombiU bundle....this bundle has way more content and costs less. I wonder if I can get compensation. I would at least like to have the artbook.

Yeah, it's a bit unfortunate, really. They certainly didn't plan to do this but are acting in response to the sales performance of the console. Bundling would be a great idea to increase sales while keeping price high: A ZombiU + Nintendoland download bundle and a Mario + Nintendoland download one for those under 18, keeping price the same but increasing value with production costs staying the same. Give early adopters some free games (SNES games or whatever) and everyone will be happy.

this, the sense of entitlement is hilarious, nobody made anyone buy these things at launch, Ninty isnt your friend they dont owe you anything because you were a good little fan and bought their product no questions asked.
