It was never a problem in the first place. It's whether Nintendo thinks it will work. It the next handheld has a VC, I suspect Gameboy and GBC games to be held off for that, although Game Gear games would be included, as would likely Atari Lynx, GBA, and hopefully Wonderswan and Neo-Geo Pocket.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
