lol, pretty much.

And is losing Rayman (as an exclusive) really that bad?  It wasn't going a ton of units, and in fact, it will probably do worse in September than it would now.  By then, it'll have people migrating to the next gen systems and have Wind Waker HD or Mario Universe/Kart to contend with.  Now would've been a great time to release it on Wii U and just port it to the other consoles.

The port makes sense, the delay doesn't.  And yes, I suspect they're delaying it so the PS360 version can be launched along side the Wii U one.

I agree with this. Nintendo gets late ports but the converse is not true. That seems kind of insulting towards Nintendo.

let's see, nintendo has always been criticized for not having third party support and now that it has it (though not exclusive) it's even more doomed? lol nintendo can never win

Can someone explain to me how Rayman Legends outdoes New Super Mario Bros. U?

Yeah, that part cought me off guard too. I think what he meant by that is that it's taking Rayman Origins to a new level and is more in touch with more modern art design (flash-like, illustrator graphics).

The music is pretty good in it (in the demo at least), and the effects (fire, environmental effects) are pretty good.

Other than that I don't know.

It is terrible that this is the big "WiiU" news. All thought it was going to be more positive. I certainly would have labeled it PS3 or X360 or Ubisoft news.

That being said, the article opening is a bit sensational. Other consoles recently have not sold as well at opening or had as many titles (and with digital, we really don't know the attach rate -- so that stat can't be compared).

The point that Nintendo could have managed things better is accurate. It tends to more add things on the fly -- and then add them later than announced -- more than Sony and Microsoft. Or at least it gets more noticed by them.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

It is a pretty big blow to Wii U. This Rayman game was one of the early Wii U games that really showed off the tech, now its on PS3/360. It's one more reason not to buy a Wii U. It's losing exclusives at a time where it should be gaining them.

Fixed for ya.  This isn't a Final Fantasy XIII level multi-plat betrayalton, so let's not catastrophize.

We'll see plenty of Wii U exclusives, such as Wind Waker HD, Mario Kart, Smash, and 3D Mario - all at E3.  :)

The whole point of the aticle is that this Rayman game was very much anticipated as one of the few Wii U 3rd party exclusives. IT HAS LOST EXCLUSIVITY.

It is now on PS3 and 360 and chances are that the game will sell MUCH better on these consoles. Exclusives are very important early in a consoles life cycle. Ubisofts decisiont to put this game on PS3/360 points to the fact that they dont' expect the Wii U to take off and sell like hotcakes. There isn't a lot of confidence in Wii U right now. Like with all Nintendo consoles, 1st party games are getting all the sales. 3rd parties get a very small piece of the pie and that pie gets smaller as times goes by.

He is a game critic, so clearly he means in quality (his opinion!). Not sales.

Why are you assuming I'm talking about sales?

It certainly won't sell good now. Too much competition in September on all platforms.
