From what Gamespot says, the contorols are clunky, combat is poorly done, too easy, cutscenes stretch on too long.

You mean the platforming genre on the PS.
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

Too many mini games, boss battles that can only be beaten if you know their pattern which means that you'll die over and over again (also the final boss is just a quick time event), generic time travel story, gameplay/stages are not that well designed, charming characters
only according to this review: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=154408
Haven't read/watched anything else

i mean on every console. If this game succeeded other developers will start making platformers rather than filling the market with FPS's.

No. Just no. If you want platformers, you go to Nintendo.
AC3 moved on and was an absolute bore to play 90% of the time.
DS3 moved on and I'm not interested anymore
Sly4 didn't fix anything, I'll buy.

errrrgh! wrong. XBLA, PS Store, Nintendo, and Indie games has that under control

Even if Sly was a 90+ game I doubt it would have sold enough to justify a return to the platformers for other developers.

Also reminds of of Steel Battalion. "The hardcore game for Kinect".
Don't make me laugh.
From the 6-7 reviews I've read, the load times are long, gameplay feels dated and motion controls are not needed.
It's a good game, but not great. And critics don't like it when you stick to the original formula even though that's what made it great.
Personally I'm buying it day 1 and going to enjoy every bit.
