is there a ignore feature on this forum.

I wonder too...I already know who I would use it on.

50% better than PS360 is fine by me. It's about what I expected.

If the Wii U is 25% or 75% or 100% faster than PS360 consoles, what difference does it make? It won't be 5-10x more powerful which is what it needed to have next generation graphics. That means you'll be buying it for the games/gameplay not graphics. We can rule out that Wii U can match the graphics of PS4/720 automatically at this point already. Most people interested in the Wii U aren't buying it for graphics.

I would have loved for the next Legend of Zelda game to look like this, but it's not going to happen.

If you can live with Zelda on the Wii U looking like this, you can stop worrying about specs because it will AT LEAST look like this:

I'm glad you posted those pics cause it kinda proves what people are saying about negligible visual difference compared to technical difference.

I like the Zelda shot better.  Although the horse's ass has very good textures...

So the Wii U is roughly 2-3x stronger than PS360, and that's without knowing some of the other things on this custom chip? Even 1.5x would be enough for me.

Yeah the zelda shot appeals to me more (maybe because there is giant spider in the shot ,who knows), although in the other pic I can clearly tell the greater detail put into the textures and foliage etc.

Sadly, I fear you are right. A Zelda in the style shown at E3 2011 would be amazing, but knowing Nintendo they'll opt for some sickly Nickelodeon look instead, like Wind Waker and Skyward Sword.

I'm going to be honest, I wouldn't mind one bit if Nintendo decided to stick with cel-shading for Zelda.

I'm not a fan, for me cel shading too often results in bland masses of colour. I don't want it  to look like Skyrim, that would be boring, but that Zelda tech demo looks exactly how my dream Wii U Zelda would look; such an elegant blend of realistic yet stylised.

Looking at Nintendo's history though, (Skyward Sword, the DS Zeldas, Wind Waker on GC -a console similiar in philosophy to Wii U- and Wind Waker HD) I'm sure we'll get one that's too cartoony for me. Does Nintendo not realize how many gamers would be sold by a "Twilight Princess in modern graphics" visual look for the next entry instead of another toon one?

Personally I have no issues with cel shading, but MOST people want to see Zelda in HD gfx. We have been waiting for years for this to happen.

Since Nintendo is doing a wind waker remake I want them to use real HD gfx for the new Zelda.

Also I know most have seen this video of the fan made Majora's Mask in HD.

I would buy this remake (as my original got stolen beforeI could finish it) if it looked like this haha:

360 doesn't lose ram to the os.

Of course not. The OS is floating free in some sort of gaz inside the 360's shell.

you actually want me to mention 16mb of ram, it's pointless and silly, i will put in my sig, like it make a differnce.

The 360's OS uses 32MB of the RAM and 3% of 2 CPU Cores.

You really have no idea what you're talking about.

its 16mb, it has access to 32mb, google can be your friend, how many times do i have to correct you.

The filesystem is 16MB, when running there's 32MB of the system's memory reserved for it. Will you ever understand the stuff you read?

LOL...I think he's a little . All he does is go on Nintendo forums and trolls them.

I'm glad you posted those pics cause it kinda proves what people are saying about a massive technical visual difference compared to their personal artistic preferences for how a game should look

That's how those 2 games compare for me. Witcher 3 looks like a next generation game. Zelda in that pic looks like a 2007 PC game at best. Artistic preferences are different. I prefer Journey and Trine 2 artistically but games like Witcher 2/3/Metro 2033 blow those games away graphically. Technical graphics complexity is completely different from artistic preferences.

The point is if you wanted to make Zelda to look mature like that Witcher 3 shot, you couldn't do it. It would not be possible on the Wii U.

If you wanted Zelda's water temple levels to look like this, it wouldn't be possible.

I'd rather have the option for developers to choose between artistic graphics representation and trying to make games look as close as possible to real life:

With the Wii U, there will be no such option because the console is underpowered. This means that developers won't really have a real choice to make due to Wii U's gimped hardware.

Ah, the "Wii U/Nintendo is doomed" thread of the week. All I have to say is what I say every single time, PS4/Xbox720 will not be this ridiculously powerful machines that beat Nintendo this gen without selling at a steep loss. Additionally, the technology is reaching a cap in which the most changes we'll see are more enemies on a battlefield or a larger world; graphics will no longer get any more amazing (as the fanboys say), only the small details will look more and more better & the animation may get more fluid (if possible at this point consideringthose things are pretty darn good on 6+ year old hardware).

That's something to consider when you comment in this thread and say, "All is lost for Wii U, Nintendo has lost a gen that hasn't even started!"
