Forums - Nintendo - Rockstar: "Nothing New" on GTA5 WiiU

So it's a straight port.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Most likely late, sloppy ports on both Wii U and PC. I really have no respect for companies that start out on PC, and then shaft the base that made them. The least they could do, was to put some efford into it and release it on the same date. But let them have it their way. No good PC version, no buy from me.

They started to forget the PC a long time ago, GTA 4 was a bad port and they didn't launch Red Dead Redemption on PC.

Be happy if GTA 5 arrives on PC

Haha, why would I be happy? Like I said, no good PC version, no buy. I think the donwhill started when they went from DMA to Rockstar. From true gamers to corporate clowns.

who cares if its a good or bad PC port?
PC Port no matter how good it is - Fans will fix it with mods.
PC Gamers don't want GTA5 > They/We want GTA5 to build the REAL GTA5 with Mods like we did with Skyrim.
GTA4 on PC looks thanks to mods better than everything we have seen from GTA5.

I care, and many other of the PC gamers you speak of do too. I know it'll get fixed, but there is no excuse why fans should do the work Rockstar should have been doing from the start. It'll also add further to time untill we get a real GTA5 on PC.

This 100%.

I was disguisted with the PC GTA IV port, I played my bro's 360 version until the mods fixed it up.

100% agree

They need to go back to basics with gta, I don't like how they use real brand names of clothing and shops now, and I would want new original music on the radio stations

I believe it might sell good enough on the Wii U.

It'll almost certainly sell enough to warrant a Wii U version, hence why I'm fairly confident we'll hear about one soon.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Black Ops 2 did basically nothing for the Wii U and that was a pretty good port with off-TV play.

I don't think people want multi-plat ports, Nintendo should focus instead on getting more exclusive content when and where they can.

Why are Nintendo fans holding out for Grand Theft Auto anyway? There has never been any Gta game on a Nintendo console so why would that start now.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

That's exactly what i was thinking!

PC sure... Wii U, idk. It would depend on what it would take to port and if Nintendo showed strong interest. Personally, idc as I have no interest in GTA games, but it would be a good indication of Nintendo's efforts to get 3rd party AAA games.

It sold ok for a new console with 3m userbase.

It will do better next iteration and so on.

Its about building up confidence that AAA 3rd party games will be there. Not a single IP.
