The version of Crackle we get in the UK offers very little, though maybe it does actually do something elsewhere

I doubt it, the PS3 doesn't use skype, Sony has their own video chat. They don't really need Microsofts acquisitions. The only thing they need from MS is probably Windows for their PC's and thats about it.

Crackle makes it money from the ads in plays during the movies. If they limit it, they will hurt themselves. With Netflix available to stream for free on PSN, why would anyone pay extra for Crackle w/ads and less options (shows and movies).

Crackle is owned by Sony? Weird that the 360 app is better than the PS3 one then.

Vita does use Skype. The PSP did too.

Interesting, I've been watching Da Vinci Code, Gattaca, the Marvel animes and more. There are the no name titles but thats how Crackle started. The good titles are picking up.

No a free service becoming something that is no longer free is not a good thing. The service is based around its free access and ad based revenue stream. If anything Plus should provide ad free Crackle.

i'm happy to have crackle because it's free, but on PS3 it is glitchy as hell. I can't even stand to watch things on it anymore, some movies don't even have the full movie on the PS3 but when i watch it on my PC it works fine.
